The body of a man who apparently committed suicide was found at The Grove about an hour before the shopping center opened today, authorities said.
Police and paramedics were called to a rear alley behind a parking structure at Third and Fairfax streets at 8:58 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer Sara Faden of the Media Relations Section.
Police said no foul play was believed to be involved.
The man, who was in his 40s, is believed to have jumped to his death from an upper level of the parking garage.
